Week 20

 皆！ こんにちは！ お元気ですか?

Call me mama Yarro!  This past week was another super crazy week! First we gotta help a lot of members move in! So much fun🙃 but then we got to go up into the mountains and do some service! It was so great to get out of the valley and spend some time in nature!

 Our president gave us time to go on our own and really ponder and pray which was seriously so great! God is so real and he is aware of us all individually. I killed off Sister Brooks ripp. She went home so that's sad for my Japanese. Sister Brooks wanted to go to good restaurants here before she left so we used all her MSF to go out lol.

 I started training a sister! I'm really excited she is so cool and supposed to head out to England soon! 

But that's my week! Love yall! 愛しってます！頑張ってください！

Week 19

 皆、こんにちは！ お元気ですか?? 

This past week has been such a cool week! Our man Shahab got baptized! 

He has the most amazing story about fleeing from Iran and converting to Christianity! Such an example of pure faith and doing anything God asks of us! We have been doing so much service lately too! 

It's really hot, I have never sweat so much in my life. It hits like 115 almost everyday. I have gotten to watch like 3 weddings, one was my brothers! That was so cool to watch! Shout out to them! 

Not too much other than the amazing baptism and Shahab being the best!

Week 18

 It's been a fun week! We got to do lots of fun things! We got to have zone conference! My first one since being out! It was in person and everything. I was a hot mess the whole time bc that's me,

 but it was super good and our president gave an amazing talk about not having fear and using Gods love to overcome it. I also got to go back to the YSA ward for a day! For Amanda's baptism! It was so spirit filled! So fun to see everyone again! We met this cute member of another ward who was really nice and really encouraged me with my Japanese. 

We had an amazing lesson with shahab about the priesthood and then we had the elders give him a blessing to help him stop smoking. 

We were all crying so much and it was so sweet. I really got to see how the atonement can help us even in the darkest, deepest moments. 

Crazy week and that's just a bit of it!! 皆さん！ 愛しっています！

Week 17

皆！ こんにちは！ 

     It has been the longest week of my life I think lol, but also such a good week! We got our mans shahab to stop smoking! He told us how he was really only able to do it through God! He literally quit in like a couple of days. The atonement is so real! He is the most faithful man I think I have ever met! What an inspiration!

After our lesson with him as we were driving home, sister Brooks popped the tire of our car. LOL. We were like right by the strip so it was mad sketchy and it was almost past curfew (yikes) and definitely crackhead hour. We waited in the car until our senior missionary came to help us. I don't think there was a sober person within a mile of us, it was really scary but we said lots of prayers and ended up getting home around 11:30 .

My Japanese is now I think on a small upward incline, I feel like I'm definitely learning again, very slowlyyyyyyy. 

   Anyways I'm doing good! Keep God in your lives ! 愛知っています！   (>_<)

Week 16

 This week has been absolutely WILD! we have definitely less busy  than we were our first couple weeks rip. but we moved into a members house which is kinda fun! We are neighbors with our president haha we see him in the morning on our runs. Hes sick tho so its aight. We went and got sushi this week! 

We got use a little bit of our 日本語 with the workers. WE ALSO went to a little Japan mini mart to get a Japanese elder some Japanese candy for his birthday! 

The workers got so excited when they saw our name tags and gave us the biggest good luck when we told him that we are going to Japan to teach about Christ! Haha the cutest! Shahab is this guy we are teaching and he only speaks a little bit of english so we had some Persian elders to help translate! I have never heard that man speak more in my life! He is soo ready to be baptized! Literally the most ELECT! So cool to see the spirit working hard! The members we live with have this ねこ that is really cute and always runs up to us when we can home! 

We literally called everyone in member tools and maybe 20 answered. RIP. Not many exciting things this week tho! I feel so fortunate to be in a calling where we can be one of the first called when someone needs something! Being able to just serve people is one of my favorite parts of the mish.

WEEK 15

 皆さん、こんにちは！

WHAT A WILD WEEK OMG. first off Brooks 姉妹 got put together!! 

We are able to use our Japanese with each other WHICH IS SO NICE. But we also double transferred into the area so we didnt know what was going on. But we moved into this nicest apartment which was the best, and our wars was popping! Giant teaching pool and three people on date! Buuutttt the further we got into it, we found out the missionaries before were a little wild so we actually have one guy who is super solid so that was fun to find out. Our mission has received 55 new missionaries and only 10 of those had been in the field before, theY are brand spanking new. So fun! We got to go to two baptisms for the people we have taught which was so fun! First was this old guy that was getting baptized into our new ward, he is a freaking legend.

 He is so hilarious. And the other was 2 girls that Brooks Shimai taught and they are so cute as well! Baptisms are the best to go to!! Its been a wild week of getting to know all the members. 

Then we got a call Sunday night that we were going to be moving AGAIN, but they didnt know where. RIP. We found out last night that we gotta be out of our apartment at 8 am and moving into a members house! Kinda fun! There is no furniture there rn but oh well! But yea we had to move again which was sad. 

Something I noticed this week as I taught in some Japanese and taught in English to someone who only speaks Persian, is that the tongue of angels is unreal. like in 2 Nephi 32:3, Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore they speak the word of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold the words of Christ will tell you all things ye should do."

No matter what language you are speaking, when it is a message from the Holy Ghost, it can be understood, and it has been amazing to watch it with my own eyes.

Week 15

 皆こんにちは！(´_ゝ`)/ this week has been wild, so we have had some awesome lesson with all the people we are teaching! I made some Japanese curry for Bailey shimai, haha. 

We got to see Amanda's puppy omg it's so cute. 

our fourth was pretty fun, we had some grandparents bring us chick fil a haha they just walk laps around the church and just brought it in. Too sweet lol. Then we had a big potluck with our district which was super fun, I got to eat some watermelon! 

The fourth is not the fourth without watermelon! the elder barely cooked the meat, it was not even pink, like full on RED. HAHAHA still ate it doe. I'm getting transferred to a really sketchy area so rip bc I have been in the nicest area since a got here. But the good news is NY NEW COMPANION WILL BE BROOKS SHIMAI! She was originally assigned to Tokyo south too! We were in the MTC together so now our Japanese is going to be SOO GOOD!  So I am probably going to have some STORIES soon. I was also able to reach out to some people about the Book of Mormon (モルモン書) and talk to some people about who God is to them, all in 日本語!! Was super cool!

This weeks come follow me was so interesting! So many great bits and pieces everywhere but I really liked Alma 24, such a great chapter! We talked about it in our wards institute and just had this amazing discussion about what it means to have a soft heart and how it can change us. When we have a soft heart we are able to learn from the spirit, something our teacher said that really stuck out to me was 

"a soft heart does not mean you are weak,it is a lot harder than a hardened heart. Jesus christ had THE softest heart and he is the furthest thing from weak."

Christ really is such an example of how we should be living our lives, and I am so grateful for that example so I can know how to change to be better.

Week 14

 ひさしぶりですね！

This week was WILD. We have been able to be in members homes so much lately! bc we are over a YSA ward, there is lots of relationship talk. someone wanna tell me how all the 20 years olds have no problem cuddling and kissing in front of missionaries lmao its so strange. 

Arianna got baptized!!! the service was seriously so great! the spirit was so strong and we were able to have a little after party and celebrate with her too! It was seriously so great and made me so happy:,)) 

We went to trader joes to get some flowers for Arianna and an employee ccame up to us and told us he was a member! we were like "Thats so sick! we are actually getting some flowers for our investigator who is getting baptized!" AND MANS BOUGHT THE FLOWERS FOR US. SO NICE OMG UwU. 

Yesterday was Sister Baileys birthday! we went to a members house and they made us a Japanse dinner and made a cake for her! they were the funniest family ever omg!

The light of christ is in everyone! Find the light! 愛しっています！！がんばってください！

Week 13

こんにちは！お元気ですか？父の日おめでと！

      wassup yall, This week was seriously such a miracle! We have been teaching this one girl for the past 3-4 months and have talked about baptism but that she had no interest in being concerted but liked our lessons. Wellll..... this week our relief society had a picnic and we invited all the girls we are teaching, turns out one of our fellowshippers picked up our girl thats getting baptized and Amanda! and they were a whoole SQUAD. The next day, she practically asked us to be baptized! She told us that seeing all these women in the church really inspired her! what a baddie. 

     I really suck at studying Japanese by myself rip.

     it has been so fun to be able to go back to members homes. Some members even took my comp and I to sushi! They tried making speak some 日本語 to the waiter but they didnt know like any either haha. 

   Everyone in Vegas has AT LEAST one dog. Its a dream.
